Colour marzipan "Golden yellow"
This almond marzipan in yellow colour is ideal for covering cakes and for modelling objects and figures, for cutting our shapes and other modelling. The marzipan paste can be colours with all kinds of food colourings. Yellow colour is ideal for decorating cheerful cakes, cupcakes and desserts for both children and adults. You can use it to model some pieces of fruit. It is ideal for modelling suns, chickens and other decorations for cakes with Easter and spring themes. The modelled characters can be joined together with edible glue or a home-made mixture of egg whites and icing sugar. Knead the paste well before using it for covering or modelling. If you are covering a cake, roll out a sheet about 0.3 – 0.5 cm in thickness. When rolling it out dust the surface with icing sugar. When transferring the sheet onto a cake, use of long pipe on which you can roll the marzipan sheet. To smoothen the cake, use smoothers or polishers. If you want to create interesting effects, use bone modelling tools. To add glittery and colour effect on the surface, you can use dust colours with lustre or glitter effects or colouring edible ink pens and liquid or gel paste colours. A yellow-coloured cake can be improved by adding fruit essence of the fruit associate with yellow colour - banana or lemon.
Excellent rolled marzipan from the Holland company FunCakes is ideal for modelling and covering. It is smooth and elastic and great for working with it. At the moment we have on our offer two colours, red and pink, and both colours can of course be mixed together without any concern.
If you want to use the marzipan to cover a round cake with a diameter of c. 25 cm, or a square cake with lenght of 20 cm, you will need two packets, i.e. 0.5 kg of marzipan mass. Before transferring onto a cake it has to be kneaded well and then rolled out with a rolling pin on a thin layer of icing or caster sugar.
